Ever doubted your impact, only to realise later it changed someone’s life? This is how I learnt to trust the process
Thank you to the very insightful Claudia De Carlo for not only prompting me to share this as a post but who also came up with the great title.
I had a lady recommended to me for some energy balancing work and by the end of the session, for the first time ever, I seriously doubted if I had achieved anything with her at all and considered giving her a refund. She tried to rebook a follow-up session and I wouldn’t let her. I advised her to wait a couple of weeks to gauge the results of the first session before committing to a second one. She returned about 3 weeks later for her second session and then booked to do Reiki Levels 1 & 2 with me some months later.
At the end of the day on the last course when everyone was sat in a circle sharing their experiences, this lady said that the first session she had with me was the single most impactful event in her life to date (and she was in her mid fifties). She went on to describe what had happened afterwards and since and how her life had literally been transformed!
I then shared my experience of that session and how I had felt afterwards. I could barely believe the difference between the 2 very different stories we shared. From that day on I started to believe and to trust that if I showed up with integrity to all of my work and acted as a catalyst for change and transformation, that was all I could do. Regardless of whether I received feedback or not.
When working at a deep energetic level it is possible to create massive shifts and not everyone has to come back or share their experiences with you. I feel blessed that this lady came back for more, to learn Reiki with me and most of all that she was able to share her experiences with the group that day. I am forever grateful for the lesson.
Live with purpose, show up with integrity and alignment and trust that God/The Universe will take care of the rest. All will unfold as it should and we cannot make ourselves responsible for another soul’s outcomes.
